Fundraising
We are dedicated to helping the academic achievements of all the students. CDO is a place where all students should thrive and be a proud part of our community. Working with the administration and staff, we are developing a list of projects that need to be funded. These projects and needs may be classroom based or improvements to our facilities. The list will be prioritized and funded in a variety of ways. We are looking to fund these projects through direct giving, corporate donations, fundraising activities and grants. 

Communication

CDO is a large and diverse school. It is difficult for a parent or student to stay abreast of all the activities. Utilizing our weekly newsletter, social media, and website, we hope to inform our community on the activities of CDO. 

If you have an event, meeting, club, or fundraiser, please let us know that we can publicize it for you. Email cdowklynews@gmail.com by Thursday afternoon to make Monday’s newsletter and Facebook.

CDO Pride Social Media Campaign There are always mixed thoughts when it comes to teenagers and social media. However, we would like to use this medium to spread positive ideas about the students and staff at CDO. Using the PTO Facebook and Twitter account, we would like pictures from all classrooms highlighting the interactive learning our student’s experience. We have phenomenal programs at CDO and believe that all programs should be highlighted. This includes all classes, clubs, sports, and staff events. Pictures with a quick caption would be emailed to us and our social media team would do the rest. It’s a great way to show off the great things happening at CDO.

Kudos We would like to highlight the achievements of our students and staff in our weekly newsletter and social media. These achievements can be related to any of our classes, clubs, or sports. We also want to recognize staff achievements. If staff has gotten additional degrees, certifications, awards, or any other achievement, please let us know.
