Financial Literacy Workshop for High School Students

Pima Honors has a great opportunity that I hope you will pass along to your students. One of Pima’s amazing Honors students, Angela White, created GROW Academy Financial Literacy workshops out of her desire to help high school students learn the basics of personal finance from industry professionals. This is a three-part series of workshops held each semester, led by a local Tucson financial advisor. Her Fall 2020 cohort had a great experience and found the information to be really valuable, and the best part is that the workshops are free and open to anyone!

The workshops will be held the first Wednesday of March, April, and May from 5-7pm.

College Board

Hosting a first-ever series of free virtual college fairs called BigFuture™ Days. Encourage your teen to sign up for a chance to connect directly with college admissions representatives and current college students. They'll have a chance to explore colleges in a way that's not overwhelming, ask questions about topics they want to learn about, and take action on key college planning steps.

Students Register Here

When your teen registers for BigFuture Days, they'll be asked to provide a parent/guardian email address. If you'd like to attend as well, you'll receive an email with a separate login to attend the event. Make sure your teen includes your email address at registration.

Your teen can attend any event and more than one.

BigFuture Day West + Southwest
Saturday, February 6

BigFuture Day Southeast
Tuesday, February 23

BigFuture Day Northeast
