Pre-registration if just around the corner!
Counselors will being 9th-11th grade pre-registration and course selection for 2021-22 school year in early January. Course selections will be set to all student school email address. Please begin talking with your student about the classes his/her should be interested in taking next year. If you or your student have any questions, please encourage encourage your student to make an appointment to meet with his/her counselor, we can schedule a zoom to review/update their 4 year plan. Baird Scholarship: Deadline - January 11, 2021
The Baird Foundation offers several four-year scholarships to exceptional students graduating from Arizona high schools each year. Selected students will join the community of Baird Scholars at the University of Arizona and the Honors College. This prestigious and selective award is $12,500/year plus a full tuition scholarship to Arizona. In order to apply for the Baird Scholarship, students must be admitted to Arizona and have a 3.75 GPA or higher. University of Arizona: Arizona Assurance: Deadline - January 31, 2021
Students interested in Arizona Assurance consideration need to submit their admissions application and complete their FAFSA by January 31, 2021. Students who meet the initial eligibility criteria will then be invited through their University of Arizona email address to complete additional steps. U of A FAFSA Offer Updates
In order to receive Financial Aid Offer, students must be admitted and their FAFSA our way. Students can expect to receive a financial aid offer 4-6 weeks after completing both steps. Our priority FAFSA filing is March 1 to be considered for items such as the Pell Pledge Grant.
We also want to inform you, new this year, we will now exclusively send a text and email to incoming students with a personalized link that takes them to their electronic Financial Aid Offer, rather than a mailed letter. The personalized link is accessible without a password or login, but is secure and unique to each student. There are many advantages to the electronic offer, including help text, videos, and active links embedded on the page. The digital version is also mobile friendly, has notification of outstanding to-do items, and is always up to date. FAFSA priority date
Submitting a complete, accurate FAFSA by Jan. 15 means your students will maximize the amount of financial aid they may receive in grants and other forms of gift aid. ASU's Federal School Code is 001081.
Obama Scholars Program
To be considered for the Obama Scholars Program, students must submit a completed application for admission, including application fee and waiver, official transcripts, and the FAFSA, by Jan 15.
Barrett, The Honors College regular admission date
Barrett, The Honors College is a selective honors experience for outstanding students that offers exclusive research, internship and study abroad opportunities. Students must apply to Barrett through a separate application to be admitted. Barrett's applications may be submitted before an ASU admission decision is received.
Students who submit the Barrett application on or before Jan. 15 will receive an admission decision by Feb. 28.
